Kameron Schott hired me to create both a logo and a WordPress website for her acupuncture practice, Root Health Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs in Moscow, Idaho. She wanted her logo to reflect a well-known Chinese proverb, “When the root is firm, the branch will flourish.” We drew upon that verbal imagery through much collaboration to come up with a symbol that could be used within the logo in a variety of combinations.
When it came to the website, I took my queue from the feel that Kami had created in her office environment. I did a sketch of a flourishing plant similar to another image that she liked and used it in the background of the pages as well as warm, golden tones to set off the bits of green and red in her logo.
Kami has since decided to take over the design and maintenance of her website, so the design below is no longer online.
